Qualifications:
1.
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
2.
Three years full-time, wage-earning correctional, commercial, or institutional laundry experience.
Thirty semester hours from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or equivalent technical or trade school courses in the field of culinary, hotel, or restaurant management may be substituted for one year of experience for a maximum substitution of two years.
3.
Two years full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
4.
Experience in the supervision of employees preferred.
The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will be $4,699.

As a condition of employment, this position is required to attend the TDCJ Pre-service Training Academy and is required to complete a physical agility test prior to beginning the academy.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
