0 Quick Apply Full-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description Texas RioGrande Legal Aid is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join the team.
The Communications Coordinator will work with special project staff to create original content, proofread, and edit written materials, and support resource development.
The Communications Coordinator will collaborate with administrative staff and outreach and help facilitate success for outreach, fundraising, and public relations efforts.
They will report to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Draft, edit, and design print and digital educational and community engagement materials.
Develop and manage content calendar across communications channels, including email lists, social media accounts, website, text messages, and educational and promotional materials under the direction of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and PR Manager.
Monitor and update TRLA social media accounts with new content.
Maintain and update the main TRLA website and special project sites.
Collaborate with TRLA staff and clients to amplify and support the project's advocacy work through communications channels.
Document project events and activities.
Organize, contribute to, and participate in organization-wide communication planning under the direction of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and PR Manager.
Evaluate communications effectiveness by developing, tracking, and reporting specific metrics and goals.
Other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Strategic Initiatives.
Qualifications and preferences:
Bachelor's degree or three years' related experience; Excellent oral and writing skills; Detail oriented; Proficiency in social media management; Experience in managing analytics, growing online audiences, and overseeing content strategy for social media and email lists; Ability and willingness to travel to capture events and document activities, sometimes on evenings and weekends; Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suites, including Photoshop and Illustrator; Experience with SEO, Html, and JavaScript preferred; Fluency in Spanish preferred; Commitment to justice for low-income people in Texas.
