The Fire Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for overseeing the sale of Fire Industry Equipment from beginning to end and responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients. This individual is the direct point of contact with a customer and in charge of ensuring a customer's needs and expectations are met.
This role is perfect for a current or former firefighter! Candidates must reside in the valley, read/write/speak in English and Spanish, and be able to work full-time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains and expands key customer accounts; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
Recommends product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Utilization of CRM for daily activities and reporting purposes.
Attend industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads.
Schedules and performs product demonstrations with potential customers.
Recommend marketing strategies to target territory needs.
Accomplishes sales and organization mission by maintaining unit, revenue and profit goals.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, including ability to effectively communicate/negotiate with internal and external customers.
Excellent computer proficiency (Pierce Pulse, MS Office Products).
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills.
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
Wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.
Strong leadership skills.
This is a full-time position and residency must be within territory assigned.
Must have a valid Class A or B commercial driver's license or the ability to obtain within the assigned timeframe set forth.
Must have a suitable driving record consistent with company and insurance requirements.
Education and/or Experience
A bachelor's degree or Associates Degree in business, marketing, or related area preferred, and/or at least 2 years of sales experience in the field.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Fire industry background and/or basic understanding of Fire Department Equipment is required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
